Fiddle, concertina, banjo, songs

Will and Lynda Henry have played traditional music for many years at community social dances, concerts, festivals, sessions and other gatherings in barns, bars, museums, community halls, theatres and churches. With fiddle and concertina, along with clawhammer banjo and mandolin, the Woodford area residents play mostly Irish dance tunes as well as Will’s original melodies composed in that traditional style. Will helped form the Glenelg Full Moon Country Dance Band in the early 1990s and now plays regularly with the popular regional five-piece acoustic contra dance band Scatter the Cats. Currently the fiddler with Scatter the Cats, Will composes much of the group's repertoire in traditional dance styles. Also a skilled five-string banjo player, Will has performed music for Owen Sound Little Theatre productions and has played with several bluegrass, country, wedding, and polka bands. The writer and photographer has also released Juggling The Notes, a book of his photographs and stories about trad music, including 80 of his original compositions.
